And We Begin………

Oil.

*

Some of the things you need

*

1 Add 6 tablespoons of good olive oil to a small frying pan

2 Add fine chopped garlic and onion

Add ½ teaspoon of basil and ½ teaspoon of oregano

4 Add ½ teaspoon of basil and ½ teaspoon of oregano

*

I am the light that keeps you drooling

*

5 Add ½ teaspoon of salt and same for black pepper

*

 PS. im completely naked

6 place on medium heat

7 Cook until the garlic begins to brown

*

This will continue to cook once off the heat

*you need to keep an eye on this part. If the garlic burns its over - all we are trying to do is infuse the oil with the flavor of the items we just added

7 Remove from heat and allow to cool

*

Peppers (roasting)

1 Place Baking rack on top of your range

*

One should always cook in the nude

*

2 place pepper on rack above the heat

*

 So Hot..

*

3 with tongs make sure to turn the peppers ever min or so

*

 Look i turned it.

*

4 Roast until completely soft (LIMP) They should be blackened. Don't worry this is okay.

*

 Almost done

*

5 Remove from heat once limp as a man on his 75 wedding anniversary and place directly into your mixing bowl.

*

 One pepper coming right up

*

6 cover the bowl with plastic wrap (make sure it has a tight seal)

*

 This Part is extremely important

*

7 allow to rest for 10 to 15 min.

***************************************************************************************

The finished product

1 remove the peppers from the bowl (careful they will still be hot)

2 In a clean sink- wash the blackened skin off under cool water.

*

This is a great time to wash your hands

*

3 Remove the top of the pepper and slick one side down the middle

*

You can save some of the top if you like

*

4 Remove all seeds (you can do this with the dull side of a knife- slowly scrape the seeds away

*

I use the sharp side but hey im Brian

*

5 slice pepper in to lobe skinny strips

*

After this step send me nudes

*

6 Place in bowl and add the oil that we made (make sure it's not super hot warm is ok)

*

 This smells like success

*

7 Add to a mason jar or whatever you have and place in the fridge to cool.

*

Freaking devilish how good these are

*

Important

*This process is not going to save these for years like jam or any preserve! This is just to store them for a few days. If you would like to save them for years you can preserve them but please read up on how to do it. Last thing you need is the runs or worse.*
**
This might seem like a lot of steps - but i promise it goes super fast. The oil should be under 5 min and you can do this while fire roasting the peppers. The longest part is waiting for the peppers to rest. Trust me, give it a whirl.
Booo yahhh…. You can add these to anything. I love to eat these on cheese and salad. I promise people will love them so make sure to share the recipe with like everyone.
